A loan of $375 helped to purchase merchandise.

Laura Nohemi's story

Laura began her business because she previously worked in a fabric store and liked the work. So, five years ago she decided to open her own business and started a stationery store in her home. She began by making copies with a photocopier and sold pencils, notebooks, and other common items. Her business did well, and she has since made renovations to her home to provide better facilities for her customers.

Laura is requesting a loan for 5,000 Mexican pesos, to be repaid in five months. With the loan, she will purchase merchandise to be able to continue expanding her business. In the future, she would like to sell ice cream, as the majority of her customers are students and she feels that this would be a good source of additional income.
