A loan of $975 helped to buy fertilizers.

Octavia's story

Octavia is 50 years old. She has lived with her partner for more than 30 years. With him she has three children, two of whom still live at home. She and her husband plant potatoes and peas. Agriculture has given them economic fulfillment, comforts in their home and education for their children, who are already good members of society. This year they have planted 30 sacks of seeds in irrigated fields and 20 sacks in seasonal fields, thanks to the help of their children who still accompany them. Both feel very satisfied and thankful to the land that provides them its fruits. Once they have collected their harvest, they will contract a truck to transport it to various markets for its sale, recuperate their investment and return to plant the next field. They always try to attend the meetings at their community bank, and when they miss one, they ask permission from their credit assessor. This is their eighth loan with MFP, and they have always shown to be good clients. The money that they request will be diverted to the purchase of fertilizers for their planted fields to assure a good harvest.
