A loan of $275 helped purchase sweets, drinks and variety of fruits.

Victoria's story

Victoria is a member of the communal bank, “Corazones Unidos” in the Misuyo neighborhood of Desaguadero district, Chucuito province, Puno department. She is 58 years old, married, has two children and a fifth-graD. education. She has worked with the Manuela Ramos movement for eight years. Her business is the sale of sweets and drinks (cookies, soft drinks, fruit juices, etc.). Her first loan was for 300 soles, which she used to buy merchandise for her business (primarily wholesale soft drinks). Now she needs a new loan for 800 soles, which she is committed to repaying in four monthly payments. With this loan, she wishes to buy more merchandise for her business (sweets, drinks, cookies, different varieties of fruit, etc.) to be able to sell them in the markets of Desaguadero, on the border. She dreams of having a large store where she can sell her products and continue working for the benefit of her children.
