A loan of $175 helped to buy supplies and ingredients for her food.

Paulina's story

Paulina is 45 years old and she lives with her husband and three children in her sister’s house. For 19 years she has sold food in one of the main streets of the city of Huancaya, and her children help her with this on many occasions. Preparing food in the mornings and evenings, she is dedicated to the sale of her meals. At the end of the day she has the satisfaction of having performed this work but she is often exhausted by the long hours preparing the food and after cleaning all of her utensils. But her few hours of sleep and her efforts have their rewards: as her earnings are very good. Thanks to Paulina’s good cooking skills, her clients are increasing and in the future she would like to rent a place to open a restaurant in.

This is the first time that she has had a loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA, and she is very enthusiastic about the work she will carry out in her group with her communal bank. The amount that she is asking for will be invested in the purchase of new plates and serving dishes, in addition to bags of groceries which are the basic ingredients for the preparation of her meals.
