A loan of $650 helped investment in a new food sales business.

Hilda's story

Hilda is 58 years old, is from Iquitos (a city in the Peruvian jungle), and lives with her partner who is a mechanic and her sons Goldi, 39, and Henry, 37 in a home she owns. Since she was 25 years old she has been working in sewing. She likes very much to make clothing with her sewing machine and she puts all her ingenuity and creativity into each garment. Around her neighborhood her services are in high demand, because she is very good at her work, and obtains good earnings for her household. But this business has sporadic demand, and Hilda would like an occupation that would generate daily earnings, and this is why she had the idea to invest in a restaurant which would offer a large number of dishes.

Thanks to her efforts, she managed to find an appropriate location for her new business and to rent and buy that which is necessary for getting started. Hilda has placed great hope in this enterprise, trusting in her good timing and business instincts, but also continuing working on that which she likes the most, which is making clothing.

This is her 14th loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA, and she is currently forming a group with two of her friends who work well together, to be punctual in their payments. With the money she is asking for she will buy furniture and utensils for starting her restaurant. She is hoping for a very prosperous future.
