A loan of $700 helped to buy basic grains, canned goods, and cleaning products.

Ileana Matilde's story

Ileana sells cleaning products, basic grains, and soft drinks. This is a small grocery store that she has had for six years. She is 25 years old and lives in the San Pablo neighborhood in the capital, Managua, with her two sons, aged 2 and 5. Her husband works as a supervisor for the the La Unión supermarket. She began by only selling snacks. With the help of her husband she has been selling other products. The loan she is requesting is to buy a variety of products and to increase her inventory of basic grains, canned goods, milk, cosmetics and other things for the daily needs of her customers. Her short term goal is to expand her store.
