A loan of $250 helped working capital - raw materials.

Maria Antonia's story

Mrs. Maria Antonia M. is 57 years old. She is married, and has six grown children, all of whom work. She earns her living by making and selling tortillas. She has been doing this for over 20 years, and she got into the business because she needed to find a way to earn a living from her home while she raised her children.

Maris’s goals are to keep her existing clients while at the same time improving the quality of her products. Her loan will be used to buy raw materials for the tortilla production – such as corn, lime, and firewood. Her long-term goal is to have her own locale for her business.

She is requesting C$5,000 Nicaraguan Cordobas [US $250].
