Lucy's story

Lucy is 29 years old, lives with her partner, and is the mother of 3 children, who live in her house. Since she was a child, she has done agricultural work with her siblings who were all cultivating citrus fruits with their parents. In the harvest times, there was a competition among the siblings to see which of them could pick the most oranges. Their father awarded them with good pocket money. Lucy wanted to employ this same dynamic with her own family, but her husband doesn’t like the farm and prefers to work as a driver in Lima. But with the support of her siblings, she started buying and selling fruit during the weekend, in addition to cultivating her own fruit during the week, although in smaller quantities. All the same she feels very happy to have it, and this happiness shows to all her clients since she offers her products with a beautiful smile. At the end of the day, when she is without fruit and with earnings, she is motivated to continue working for her children, without losing the hopes of buying a stand in the city, where she would be in charge of selling and her siblings of providing the products. Lucy is very happy to belong to this community bank and is motivated by the savings that will allow her to save her money for an emergency. This is her first loan with MFP, and she promises to pay her installments on the exact days they are due. The money that she requests is to buy more fruit and fertilizers for her crops for her profitable business.
