San Hilarion Group's story

The members of this group belong to the San Hilarion community bank. This bank is located in the district of Curahuasi, which belongs to the province of Abancay in the department of Cusco, Peru. One member is señora Berta, an unmarried woman of 43 years who has two children. She works in her business selling basic foods: she sells corn, potato and quinoa and works from 8 am to 5 pm. Señora Berta has been doing this for four years and her business is going quite well. Her dream is to have a stall where she can sell her products. She is asking for the loan to buy potatos, corn and quinoa. The group member at the lower left had her photo taken after the group meeting due to reasons of her work. The other members of this group earn their livings in animal sales, sale of cereals, a general store and food sales. Señora Bertha thanks those who form part of this dream through this organization and promises to comply with her payments on the loan according to the established dates.
