Jaime

Lima, Peru / Restaurant

A loan of $950 helped to buy utensils and tables for his restaurant.

Jaime's story

Jaime is 50 years old. He lives with his wife and two daughters who attend university. To increase his income, he left his country trying to forge a more promising future, but the economic crisis forced him to return to Peru.

Soon after, he opened up a restaurant that, even though is only six months old has attracted a large number of costumers. This is mostly due to the seasoning that Jaime’s wife makes. She is the one who prepares the delicious meals and Jaime attends to the costumers with respect and joviality. They work together every day from 8am until 10pm, sharing the work as a couple.

One of their dreams is to have an automobile to carry the supplies they purchase for the restaurant and, during Jaime’s free time, to use it as a taxi to generate additional income.

This would be the first loan with MFP and Jaime is very happy for the opportunity and trust. The loan would give them the chance to grow along with their business. He will use the loan to buy utensils and tables for the restaurant.
