A loan of $2,725 helped a member operational capital.

Las Bondadosas Group's story

The "Las Bondadosas" communal bank is represented by María Elva and consists of 13 members from the Toborochi neighborhood who have known each other for some time. All of the members have their own small businesses selling products like catalog cosmetics, food, bread and clothing, and providing services like housekeeping, babysitting and home building. The partners accept that there is competition in their respective markets, but they have been selling in the same area for years and know how to succeed for the benefit of their families, as they represent the mainstay of income in their homes. The loan will be used to purchase better quality merchandise to bring their customers a more competitive product, and to purchase tools to improve service which will bring in a better income and better their families' quality of life. All of the partners have experience in credit groups, so they know how to administer the funds and how to fulfill the responsibility of their payments.
