A loan of $250 helped buy goods to resell.

Pedro's story

Pedro started the business because he needed money to help pay for family expenses. He started it in May 2006, selling chicharrones [a traditional pork dish] and elotes [a type of sweet corn] in the afternoons. He's done very well because he's now added other products, as well, selling blankets and miscellaneous household goods to increase his earnings. He needs a MXN$3,500 loan, to be repaid in 8 14-day installments, which will help him to supply his business so that he can continue selling.
