A loan of $325 helped purchase products for beauty salon.

Doris's story

Doris is 42 years old and lives with her husband and their children in a rented house where she has set up her business. What she wants most is to provide her children with a good education so that they will become good professionals someday. Doris began her business of aesthetic treatments 20 years ago, working in various beauty salons. Six years ago, she finally pulled together the necessary funds to open her own place, where she does haircuts, manicures, dyeing, perms, etc. She has many customers, as she is very good at what she does and enjoys consulting them about the cut or color that best suits them. Doris has a very big dream--she wishes to have a spa where she can provide more complete services. What she likes least about her work is the strong odors given off by the dyes, which sometimes require her to leave her work and wait until the strong chemicals disappear. Even still, she doesn't shy away from hard work, because she wants to improve her family's quality of life. This is her first loan with MFP, and she is certain that she will be able to make her repayments on time and without complications, since she doesn't want cause any problems with the members of the communal bank in which she actively participates. Doris plans to invest the money in the purchase of more beauty products, with which she can give her customers better service.
