Domptila's story

Domptila N., age 35, is married and has five children to support. She has been a member of the village lending group of Catholic women of Ziguinchor for 8 years. Her work consists in buying and reselling palm oil, lemons, “monkey bread” (the fruit of the baobab tree), and dried fish. She wants to boost her commerce and to improve the health and living conditions of her family. The loans she’s requesting will be repaid all at once at the end of six months.
