Ester's story

Ester has managed a rolling store business for almost 3 years. She sells meat and fish in their village. With her desire to increase her products, she wants to borrow PHP 8,000 that she can use to purchase a bigger quantity of fish and meat. Through her business, she is able to help her husband generate income to support the basic needs of their family, for household expenses and to support the education of their children. She strives hard to increase her income for the benefit of their family since her husband does not have a permanent job.

She is already 45 years old and her husband is working as a part-time welder. They have eight children: Analyn – 24 years old, college graduate; Fernando – 21 years old, a helper; Anabelle – 19 years old and already married; Erlindo – 18 years old, a high school sophomore; Ana Rose – 13 years old, grade six; Carla – 10 years old, grade four; Carlo – 8 years old, grade one; Kately Ann – 7 years old, is not studying due to lack of financial resources. They have a big family and she wishes to uplift their poor life situation, thus Ester and her husband are doing their best to become successful in the business.
