Grupo Las Marias Group's story

Maria (the first woman on the left side of the photograph with a brown shirt) is a married woman with a lovely family of five children between the ages of three and thirteen. She lives in a community of Santa Catarina. Maria is friendly and generous, with big ambitions in life. A year ago she chose a business that has allowed her to improve her earnings; she makes a living by buying and selling bananas.

Eager to prosper in her business, Maria has decided to request a loan to invest in her banana business, since people increasingly need more products and she needs to stock her business more. For this reason she is asking for a loan to buy bananas, apples, and chocolate. With this investment, Maria hopes to better satisfy her customers, but she also longs to have a store to sell bananas and to give her children a better education.
