Mohammed's story

Mohammed I. is thirty-one years old. He is married and has two children, both males. The first is in primary school while the second has yet to start school. His wife is into the palm oil production business. He lives with his family in a rented apartment in a small farming community called Nkwateng in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The major occupation of the dwellers, the men in particular, is farming.

Mohammed is a farmer and trades as well. He says he trades in cola nuts. He procures cola nuts from cola nut farmers in the northern part of the country and treks to other towns to sell them. He distributes to customers who retail them. Mohammed wants a loan to procure the cola in large quantities so that he can distribute them to the increasing number of his customers. He aspires to give his children the best of education.
