A loan of $275 helped to buy more merchandise.

Gladys's story

Gladys is 29 years old, and lives with her husband and 3 children in her inlaws' house. She has sold shoes for a year now. She started this businesses thanks to the motivation of some friends, and now she is doing very well. Gladys distributes her merchandise house by house. Her clients pay on credit, receiving the merchandise and then gradually paying her back until the amount has been covered. With the earnings that she obtains, she can continue supporting her home economically. It also allows for her to work during free time when her children are studying, so she doesn't have to neglect them. Gladys works every day, except on weekends. Her greatest yearning is to have her own kiosk so that she may have the different shoe models she offers on display. This is her first loan with MFP, and she is committed to being punctual with her payments and to supporting the development of her communal bank. The money that she is asking for is to be used for school shoes of various sizes, so that in this direction she may maximize earnings. She calculates that with this amount she will be able to acquire approximately 3 dozen.
