Siloe Group's story

The Siloe Group is coordinated by Guillermina P. Cerrrato who is 39 years old. Previously Guillermina dedicated herself to shoe making, however, because her husband who previously helped her make these shoes is currently working in the area of transportation, she was not able to continue fabricating shoes. She now purchases shoes in factories and sells them at a wholesale price; this way she can earn more when she sells the product and in that way help with household expenses.

Dunia Y. is 32 years old and dedicates herself to the production and sale of tortillas. Dunia wakes up very early at 4:00 am to begin making the dough for the tortillas to be able to have them ready by 7:00 am when she heads out and sells them given that tortillas are sold in the morning because they are consumed with breakfast and lunch. For the most part all Hondurans eat a lot of tortillas as it is said to be an indispensable part of the 3 meals of the day.

Lidia M. is 58 years old and dedicates herself to the sale of soap, toilet paper, and sandals. She sells these products to different state and private companies on credit, and has a lot demand given that she sells at a good price. She also travels to the south region to sells her product but sells it there for cash. All the women need this loan to able to succeed in their businesses.
