A loan of $1,100 helped purchase cooking utensils and tables.

Maria Jesús's story

Maria Jesús is a very kind woman. The love with which she speaks of her husband and their two children demonstrates her big heart, and living in harmony with them is her priority. Recently, and with much effort, she was able to obtain her own land where she built a house. In the course of her life, cooking as always appealed to her, and she was very interested in preparing dishes in her home. She told her mother about this interest, and she began teaching Maria what she needed to know about cooking. Maria Jesús didn't just have learning in mind; she wanted to use this activity as a means to start working, and it has now been her sole economic activity for 15 years. Every day, she prepares food for her diners. Those who tried her delicious seasoning for the first time were happy to have her prepare their meals every day, and she brings food to their respective workplaces at midday. Maria Jesús is aware that things change with time, and wants to specialize in the preparation of typical dishes to vary her menu. More than anything, she wants to establish a restaurant where her customers can enjoy her food more comfortably. This is her eighth loan with MFP, and it has served her in improving her business and also allowing her to meet people. The purchase of utensils and tables is indispensable for those working in food sales, because people demand cleanliness and comfort. For Maria Jesús, the priority is offering her customers comfort, and with the loan she seeks she can improve the service to her customers.
