Dainess's story

Dainess has owned a small food vendor store in the Ilala neighborhood of Dodoma for four years. She belongs to the Mlamke group loan. She currently earns an average monthly profit of $70. Every day she works for 12 hours at her business.

She is requesting her first loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Tanzania so that she can buy more food items for her business. She is hoping that through this loan, her profit will increase and she will be able to grow her business and to pay school fees for her children.

Dainess is married and has four children: ages 27, 23, 18 and 12.
