Razia Begum Riaz Ahmad Group's story

Razia begum baji is a widow and a citizen of Vehari, Pakistan for the last 15 years. Her husband left her with no financial resources. Razia baji bears the hardships all alone. She started sewing clothes day and night to survive with her three children: two daughters and one son. She didn’t remarry because she focused only on her children and their future. She used her income to pay off their school fees. Now Razia baji’s eyesight doesn’t allow her to sew clothes. So she started selling fertilizer because in Vehari people mostly work in agriculture. So she is applying for a loan to buy fertilizer for selling.

She is the group leader for some more women from her locality. Shahadat baji wants a loan to buy fertilizer to sell. Nagina baji wants a loan to buy chickens for her chicken meat selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
