Ekomefeemo 2 Group's story

Sarah is 56 years old and has been with Ekomefeemo 2 Group for several years. She is the group representative because of her wealth of experience in being a good client. She is married with one dependent child.

Ekomefeemo 2 Group needs a total loan of GHS 4,900. Sarah's share of GHS I,700 will be used to purchase additional fish, corn paste, firewood and oil to prepare kenkey (fermented corn dough) and fried fish to sell to customers.

Sarah trades in kenkey and fried fish on the pavement close to the roadside in Teshie. Her business, which has been in existence for over 12 years, is the main source of her livelihood and that of her family; and also supports her child’s education. Her business is open Monday through Saturday every week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sarah is a hard-working woman. Sarah is in the middle of the group picture.

In the future, Sarah plans to support her child to acquire a university education. She hopes that one day she will become a renowned businesswoman.

She is very appreciative to anyone who can help. She thanks you for supporting her group.
