Germary Danayra's story

The micro-entrepreneur Germary Danayra D. C. is 25 years old, the mother of a young daughter, married, and a student at the university. For the past 3 years, she has dedicated herself to the business of selling piñatas as well as birthday party supplies such as candles, whistles, hats, and other items.

She also sells pastries that she obtains from her mother’s bakery, which allows her an additional source of income besides her piñata sales. Her piñata business is carried out based on orders placed by friends of her mother’s on her recommendation. In the case of her pastry sales, she sells these from her home since she is located across the street from a secondary school. During their recess, the students visit her to buy her products.

The young mother Germary has plans to expand her business with other products sought out by her customers such as natural beverages, soft drinks and juices. Currently, she needs financing to buy the following: 15 small piñatas that she buys for $5 USD, 25 medium piñatas that she buys for $8 USD, and 25 large piñatas that she buys for $9 USD.
