A loan helped to buy merchandise to increase the stock of her business.

Pilar's story

Pilar is fifty-four years old, single, and has no children. She lives with her family in the district Oyotún, a rural area in Chilcayo Province which is in the Lambayeque Region on the north coast of Peru. It’s a community mainly dedicated to commerce, agriculture, and livestock.

Pilar works selling soft drinks, beer, and marcianos (Peruvian frozen fruit pops). In addition to groceries, she has more than ten years of experience in business. She’s applying for a loan for working capital to buy more soft drinks and beer. This investment will help to increase her sales, greatly influencing her business. She thinks with more products she’ll be able to meet different needs. With it, she will increase her number of sales and improve her quality of life.
