A loan helped to introduce solar lamps, water filters, and clean cookstoves.

Yeni's story

A loan of IDR 10,000,000 helps Yeni to introduce simple, life-saving technologies such as solar lamps, water filters, and clean cookstoves to the community.

Yeni was born and raised in the village called Soe in West Timor, Indonesia where the majority of people are farmers. Yeni and her husband, an evangelist, visit remote villages in Soe on a weekly basis. During their visit to the villages without electricity, Yeni demonstrates a solar lamp to help people stop using dangerous and toxic kerosene lamps.

To increase her income, Yeni joined Kopernik’s Tech Kiosk network to sell simple life-changing technologies. She will use the loan to buy stock items and grow her business. One of her dreams is to provide better education for her children. The income from selling technologies will help her increase savings for their future education.
