A loan of $775 helped a member to buy wood to sell.

Naseem Jahangir Ahmad Group's story

Naseem baji is a 29-year-old married lady and a citizen of a city called Borewala, Pakistan for the past 20 years. Her husband's name is J. A. and he is a wood seller by profession. He has been selling wood for the past 8 years. Her husband chose this business because there’s no gas in the area. Naseem baji is applying for a loan to buy more wood to expand her husband’s wood-selling business.

She is the group leader for some more women from her locality. Nasreen baji wants a loan to buy mason's tools. Haleema begum baji and Sajida baji each want a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Mussarat baji wants a loan to buy a motorbike to rent out.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
