A loan of $325 helped to increase merchandise.

Yessi's story

Yessi is 21 years old and separated from her husband one year ago. She has a son and together they live in her parent's house where Yessi has her business. Since she was little, Yessi has helped her parents in the fields and since she decided to form her own family, she has dedicated herself to agriculture. At the same time, she also attended to her store which she has run for the last two years since her parents transferred it to her. Yessi tried to increase the merchandise in the store, including acquiring more drinks and groceries which has resulted in better sales and profits than just groceries alone. Yessi loves this business because money is constantly in motion and this encourages her to keep with the business. For this reason she opens the store before 6 am every day and stays until 10 pm (at which time she cares for her plants). At the same time, she helps her mother graze cattle. Yessi's hops for the future are to increase the inventory in her store, plant peas, and sell more products in greater quantities so that she can become a prosperous businesswoman. Yessi is very active in her village bank, called "Campo Verde", where she is the treasurer. This is her second loan with Microfinanzas Prisma and in this time she has shown her responsibility through the work in this position and by making her payments on time. The money she is soliciting is to stock her store with groceries and candies. Yessi is grateful to the people that make this loan possible because it allows her to continue working.
