A loan helped to purchase 6 quintals of unprocessed cashew nuts to sell.

Fidelina De Los Angeles's story

Fidelina, 35 years old, went to school up to the second grade. She is a single mother of a 15-year-old daughter, who is in the ninth grade.

Fidelina has worked as a street vendor since she was 11 years old. She has sold fruits, tamales, atol [a cornflour drink] and corn, but for the past two years she has sold cashew nuts. Her cousin showed her the whole process and she likes this business. She sells at a market which is 80 kilometers from her house and her day begins at 4:00 am because at 5:00 am the bus comes by which brings her to the market, and she comes back home at 5:00 pm.

The loan will be invested in purchasing 6 quintals of unprocessed cashew nuts to sell.

Her dreams are to see her daughter graduate with a degree, to build a brick house because now it is wood, and to have a clothing stall.
