A loan of $1,500 helped to pay for vehicle maintenance and a battery to continue his business.

Javier Hilarion's story

Javier is continuing with his urban and interdepartmental transportation service. He invested his previous loan in buying tires and paying for vehicle maintenance. His repayments were on time as he had no problems. His lorry transports all kinds of cargo such as bricks, plaster, home removals etc., and it constantly needs maintenance and worn parts replaced. "My work tool is my lorry, this is why I look after it and carry out maintenance continuously so that it will last longer..." he says.

The advantage to Javier's business is that he has daily cargos and journeys, the disadvantage is that he does not have enough capital to carry out the maintenance and continue working. His dream is to buy himself another vehicle, he wants to pay for the maintenance of the lorry and a battery. This is the third loan he has taken out with the institution in the 10 years he has worked as a transporter. It is for these reasons that Javier is asking for a loan; so that he can pay for the vehicle's maintenance and a battery to continue his business.
