A loan of $1,000 helped to buy cloth and jewelry for resale.

Katoura's story

This lady lives in the Agoè Demakpoè district. Her work involves selling jewelry, pagnes cloth, scarves, and plates. She has been in this business since 2005 and goes door-to-door as she works. She supplies herself at the grand marketplace of Lomé and through suppliers from Benin. She sells on credit to certain nice ladies and collects her money afterwards. Her commerce is doing well, and she would like to increase her inventory of merchandise by buying 20 lengths of pagnes and 15 sets of jewelry. She is married and has one child.
