Stella M., age 36, is married with two children ages 17 and 11. She sells food at Mbagala. She started this business in 2006 and works daily from 6am until 12pm. She is able to earn a monthly profit of around US$ 258.

This will be Stella’s fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase her stock and started selling pork and has repaid the loans successfully. She now hopes for a fourth loan to pay her children's school fees.

Stella will share this loan with her loan group, Mt. Rungwe, which totals 16 members. The members of the group hold each other accountable in paying back their loans. In the picture, Stella is 1st on the right with a red cap.
