A loan helped to buy seeds to plant bell pepper, "papa criolla" (Colombian yellow potato) and beans.

Leonardo De Jesus's story

Leonardo is a 55-year-old man, a humble and hardworking farmer located in the municipality Yarumal. He is married, and from his marriage, 5 children were born for whom he has given even his last drop of sweat each day in order to support them.

Leonardo specializes in the cultivation of vegetables like the "papa criolla" (Colombian yellow potato), bell pepper and beans.

The vast plots that are pictured in the photo he inherited from his father and mother, and he hopes that one of his children will take charge of these fields, which have been the progress of his family.

He is requesting a loan for the purchase of the previously described vegetable seeds. He wants to broaden his crop and replace some that, due to inclement weather, were ruined.

His main dream is to be healthy so he can work the land of which he feels so proud, and to continue generating quality products for the consumers.
