A loan of $1,025 helped to buy cosmetics, clothing, and shoes.

Maria Del Rosario's story

Doña Maria is a hairdresser, and she has also been selling cosmetics, clothing, and shoes for many years. She started her sales business in a part of the oriental market in the capital Managua; she also studied as a beautician. All of these activities were accomplished with help from her mother and husband. She is 61 years old and lives in the Jericó neighbourhood with her four children who are independent and have jobs. It is important for Maria to see her family do well.
This is her fourth loan with Kiva partner Afodenic, and she plans to use it to buy clothing for children and adults, shoes, and cosmetics so that she has a greater variety to offer to her customers. Her plan for the future is to continue increasing her sales as well as her inventory.
