A loan helped a member to purchase products for making dyed fabrics.

Niaguis Douma Group's story

The ’banc villageois’ was created on May 10, 2001. This group is composed of twenty women working in commerce. They mutually support one another and take out loans they pay back on time. Ms. Juliette, appearing at the right in the photo with a hand raised, is the group's representative. She is married, 48 years old, and the mother of seven children, of whom four are boys. Ms. Juliette has been active in producing dyed fabrics for a long time. With the loan requested, she intends to purchase products for her dyed fabrics. She is not the only one but manages to sell her output progressively. The profits are going to be used to help cover school fees and food for the family.

In this group: Fatou, Elisa, Fatoumata, Juliette, Germaine, Emilie, Aminata, Fatou, Monique, Marie Madeleine, Anna, Jeannette, Veronique, Clementine, Linda, Fanta, Marie Louise, Jeanne, Matilde, Rose
