A loan helped a member to start selling women's clothes at her beauty salon.

Mkombozi A Group's story

Halima is the mother of four kids who are in school. She is in her early 30s and married. For five years now, she has been supporting her family by running a beauty salon, with herself being a hairstylist. She starts working from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. per working day and is able to make a good profit each month.

This is her seventh credit request from Kiva partner Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to improve her service, bought a business dryer and hair steamer and hair products, and paid rent for her business premises. She is really appreciative of Kiva's support.

Halima dreams of improving and expanding her business. She has paid back all her previous loans successfully. She received some extra income which she used to cover part of the school fees and household expenses.

With her new credit request, Halima will invest to start selling women's clothes at her beauty salon. She will share this credit with her members from Mkombozi A group. The group members will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Halima, Ally, Halfan, Steven
