A loan of $1,075 helped to purchase clothing imported from Italy.

Carmen's story

Carmen is a member of the Bancocomunal Siempre Juntas. She is 56 years old, married, and has a 14-year-old son who is attending a private school. Carmen started her clothing business with loans from Finca. She started by buying polo shirts, and now her niece sends her clothing from Italy three times a year: Mother's Day, Fiestas Patrias and Christmas. Carmen needs a loan of 3,400 Soles to buy more clothes imported from Italy. As her business has grown, she's learned how to save and manage her money, and how to draw capital gains. Carmen's dream is to have a shop in her home, but she doesn't yet have the resources to make that happen.
