Kate's story

Kate D. is forty–two years old. She is married with four children, a boy and three girls. Kate says her son is in the junior high school while the others are in the basic school. She lives with the family in a rented apartment in a small town called Simpa. Simpa is a farming community which is a few kilometers from Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana.
Charlotte trades to help her husband provide for the family. She deals in food stuffs such as cocoyam, plantain and some vegetables. Her husband is a palm nut farmer.
She procures her goods from farmers in the surrounding communities. She sells in her house to customers who come to buy. Her children also sell in their neighborhood. Kate has been in business for eight years. She wants a loan to buy her goods in bulk.
She desires to give her children the best of education.
