Charlotte's story

Charlotte A. is 32 years old. She is married and has four children, a boy and three girls. Currently, three of Charlotte’s children are in the basic school. The youngest is yet to start school. She lives with her family in a rented apartment in a small town called Simpa. Simpa is a farming community that is a few kilometers from Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana.

Charlotte sells food stuffs such as cassava and plantains to support her family. She procures cassava and plantains from farmers in the surrounding communities. She supplies them to the food vendors in her community. Charlotte has been in business for 12 years. She wants a loan to procure the food stuffs in bulk so she can distribute them to her increasing number of customers.

It is Charlotte’s dream to provide her children with the best possible education.
