A loan of $675 helped to procure palm nuts.

Diana's story

Diana F., 25, is the mother of a boy and a girl, both in basic school. Her husband is a rubber tapper in one of the nearby villages, and they live in a rented apartment in Asaman, a small farming community a few kilometers from Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana.

In order to help her husband meet the demands of the family, Diana has been trading in palm nuts for the past year. Procuring the nuts from farmers in the nearby villages, she treks to other markets to sell to retailers, mostly food vendors. Diana is requesting a loan to procure palm nuts in bulk as she needs to increase her profit to better support her husband’s efforts in providing for the family.
