The eighteen members of this bank are artists from the southern part of the city of Cusco. There are five women and thirteen men and they take turns creating their art and showing it for sale. The money they make allows them to bring home better food and to achieve a more just education for their younger children. These members carry in their blood an ancient skill inherited from their ancestors which shapes their works and allows them to continue creating their culture and transmitting it year after year.

Our members, as they are hard-working and accomplished, are committed to paying back the loan that is granted to them in the specified period. They appreciate your support of their dreams of accomplishing their projects.

Este banco se denomina "CUSCO SUR", fundado hace 8 años, permitiendo el desarrollo D. miembros antiguos hasta la actualidad y ellos siguen agrupando a nuevos socios, para darles también la oportunidad que ellos tuvieron, este banco está ubicado en las oficinas centrales en la ciudad del Cusco.

Los miembros integrantes D. este banco, son artesanos D. la zona sur D. la ciudad del Cusco, ellos son 18 miembros 05 mujeres y 13 varones; quienes alternan sus actividades con la elaboración D. artesanía y la exposición D. sus trabajos, el dinero que ellos recaudan les permite llevar a sus hogares una mejor alimentación y alcanzar una educación más justa para sus menores hijos; estos socios llevan en su sangre una técnica ancestral heredada desD. sus antepasados, la cuál plasman en sus obras y permite así seguir cultivando la cultura y trasmitirla año a año.

About Asociación Arariwa
Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru. Arariwa serves the southern Andean provinces of Peru, and is distinguished by its efforts to reach the very poor, who often live in isolated rural areas. Arariwa fosters village banking, supports savings accounts, promotes access to education, and empowers women entrepreneurs (who make up 78% of its borrowers).
