A loan helped a member to buy sheep for resale later on.

Benkadi N°I Group's story

Halan is a member of the group called Benkadi, married and the mother of six children, aged from 4 to 16 years. She is illiterate, lives in Mali, 36 years old, and she is the one who is holding the gourd bowl and feeding the ram.

Halan raises sheep and goats. For five years she has been in this business. Her hopes and dreams are to have more money to grow her business, and, after the sales, to make more profit so as to cover her family's needs.

Since she lacks financial means, Halan came to RMCR so that she can keep running her business. She buys animals and resells them in the weekly fairs of her region. She makes 10,000 F CFA in profit per month. The loan will help her to support her family and cover healthcare, school fees, etc. The obstacles Halan encounters are relative to falling prices.

In this group: Djeneba, Wassa, Halan, Djidi, Saran, Rokya, Koniba, Salamata, Mariam
