Rose's story

Rose K. is currently in the business of selling smoked fish at the market and is requesting a loan to expand her business. Rose is 27 years old and is married. Her husband is a fisherman. She has one child, and her child does not go to school.

With the extra profit from her loan, she hopes to be able to build a house to rent out.

BRAC's holistic approach to poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor encompasses a range of core programs in economic and social development, health, education and human rights and legal services that are delivered through an extensive network of village organizations.
