A loan of $325 helped to buy a young bull.

Maximo's story

Maximo is 53, lives with his wife and four children in a house they own. He has been farming for 30 years, starting in it because it’s a family activity; his work consists of walking his cattle to different areas to get feed, approximately three hours of walking to find good areas with grass to then get back almost at dusk. For Maximo this activity is very gratifying and profitable because he then sells the animals and the profits are good, he hopes to improve his cowshed and have more cattle. This is the first time that Maximo requests a loan through MFP, and he assumes the commitment to work for the unity and responsibility of the community bank. The money requested will be invested in the purchase of a young bull to have more working capital. The bull’s price is estimated to be 1,000 soles.
