Viviano's story

Viviano is 40 years old and lives with his wife and daughter in their own home. Since his childhood, he has been involved in agriculture and comes from a family of farmers, taking advantage of this legacy to generate income to support his family. As head of household he works hard at cultivating his land and wakes up very early to tend to his plots of land; the harvest season is a very happy time because watching the production of his fields is rewarding, but Viviano knows that the weather can have negative results on his harvest. What he grows most is potatoes and after the harvest he selects the potatoes based on quality, the first and largest batch (the biggest and undamaged) and the second batch (smaller and have some damage). He takes the produce to sell at wholesale markets by the sack, varying in price according to quality. This is Viviano’s first time applying for a loan with MFP, he is fully prepared to be responsible and contribute to his community bank. The money he requests is to buy fertilizer for his land and increase the number of farms animals to sell.
