A loan of $325 helped to buy more firewood to resell.

Juana's story

Juana, aged 53, is a woman who loves her family very much. She is always looking out for the well-being of her husband Amador, 58, and of her sons Beto, 20, and Elver, 17. She lives in her own home, which she built with great effort. For the past 15 years already, she has been selling firewood from her home. She assembles enormous towers of wood which can be seen from the street. She is very happy with her business as she feels she is helping those who still use firewood for fuel. Juana hopes to build a storage area in her home where she could keep the firewood so that it would not get wet during the rainy season because what she does not like to see is wood left unsold because it is wet. She enjoys very much speaking with her customers whom she always greets with a smile. This is Juana's first loan with MFP and she will repay it on time, even if she has to save alot in order to do so. She is very well-liked in her community bank because she is one of the happiest members. She will use the loan to increase her working capital and buy more firewood to resell, especially as the cold weather approaches.
