A loan helped increase the quantity of firewood to sell.

Juana's story

Juana is a 55 year old woman, she lives in a rented home with her husband (58 year old Donato) and her children (Percy, age 20 and Rudy, age 18), whom she loves very much and she wishes to proviD. them an adequate university education. Juana is a very dedicated mother; she has a firewood business and is sought after by her customers. Juana has had this business for 9 years, and she wishes to increase the quantity of wood that she has to sell and in this way have enough money to pay for her children’s university tuition. She cares for her children with a lot of love and she always worries that they have what they need. She enjoys conversing with her customers and she always has a joke to share and create a good relationship with her customers. Her principle selling strategy is to be happy in all that she does. She doesn’t like to be a bother and if she were to be a pest when she is selling she wouldn’t have any customers. This is her fifth loan with MFP, she feels very happy to have received it and she has promised to pay it with all the members of her Community Bank. The money she seeks, 1000 nuevos soles, will be invested in buying more firewood to increase the quantity of her merchandise.
