A loan of $325 helped firewood.

Ela's story

Ela is 33 years old, single and very dedicated to her work. She lives in a room she rented when she left her parents’ home in order to become more independent. She really wants to overcome her obstacles and she is ready to do it. Ten years ago she entered into the business of selling firewood. As time passed, her business has grown and she has become one of the most sought-after sellers. Her customers come to her home to buy the good-quality wood that she offers. She likes to organize the wood into small stacks to make her business more presentable. She is thinking of renting a storefront that is more centrally located to store her wood in. Right now she has to leave it on the street and every time it rains, the wood gets wet , which makes it more difficult to sell. She would like to start a family, but knows that she should have a stable financial situation first, so she can live in peace and give her family the best. She has already had two loans with MFP and was very punctual with her payments, always making sure not to get behind, Ela is very happy with her community bank and likes talking with the other members. She will invest this money by purchasing more firewood and increasing her work capital.
