Benkadi Group's story

Kadia Founé is a member of the group Benkadi. A widow and the mother of three children, aged 4 to 21, she is illiterate and living in Mali. and she is 49 years old. She is the one in the photo holding a calabash. She does commerce in grains and baobab leaves. Kadia’s dreams and hopes include having more money to purchase a lot of grain after her sales and to make a profit for meeting family needs.

Due to a lack of means, she turned to RMCR to be able to carry out her work in time. She gets her supplies from the weekly market in her area and resells in cities. She earns a profit of 15,000 francs per month. The loan will help her to meet family expenses: healthcare, schooling, etc. She has been in the grains business for four years. The obstacles she encounters include frequent drops in prices.
