Pelucy’S Group's story

Pelucy (first from the left) is aged 39, widowed with 4 children living in Nyabubale Village, Kasese district. Pelucy maninly grows coffee, maize, banana and beans. She also has goats and a cow. After the death of her husband, Pelucy realized that she had to work hard so as to look after her family.

She joined YICE to learn more about farming and now leads a group of other four farmers that attained YICE’s practical trainings in farming as business. Pelucy and her group members are requesting for a small loan to buy good quality fertilizers, farm inputs and pay for local laborers to expand their gardens.

Pelucy’s dream is to educate all her children up to university and ensure that they live a good life.
